I have decided to just use the editor that is the web interface within cPanel, I made this decision after spending half a day or more trying to get ssh to work so that I could use Zed editor to ssh in and edit and manage files as though they were local. What a waste of time, I could have been developing the whole time.
I am super excited about this sandbox, it gives me a place to just play around with stuff and not worry about breaking it.
